The natural breathability of wool makes them particularly ideal for delicate baby skin. The socks are OEKO-TEX® certified, ensuring that they are free from harmful chemicals.
The OEKO-TEX® product certification sets high standards for the content of harmful substances. The certification is international and is your guarantee that the product has been tested and approved. The label shows that the product has been tested and approved based on the requirements set by the international OEKO-TEX® Association.
The certification ensures that the products are safe for both the environment and the consumer. When a product has the OEKO-TEX® certification, it means that it does not contain hazardous chemicals or substances that can be harmful to human health. This includes a long list of banned substances such as pesticides, heavy metals and allergenic dyes.
These baby socks are an excellent choice with their natural material and carefully considered design when you want to ensure comfort and warmth for your baby's feet. The socks stay looking great wash after wash and both color fastness and shape will last if you follow the recommendations on the washing instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Wool is a fantastic material with many benefits, including softness, warmth, and durability. Here you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions about wool. Didn’t find what you were looking for? Feel free to contact us.
Which Size Should I Choose?
Byhappyme’s wool textiles are true to size. Our best advice is to select the size you normally wear with other brands.
You can also make use of our size guide. Here, you'll get help and guidance to choose the correct size based on the data you enter.
How Do I Wash Wool Products?
Wash at 30°C on the wool program.
Use a mild wool detergent.
Tumble drying is allowed - Only for Byhappyme products.
Always follow the washing instructions.
Byhappyme recommends washing at 30°C and using a mild wool detergent.
Our wool series can be tumble dried, but it will keep its best appearance and shape if stretched while wet and laid flat to dry. The choice is yours, and both methods are equally correct.
Skip a wash if there are no visible stains. Wool regenerates itself, and airing it outdoors overnight can be a great alternative.
Are There Different Qualities of Merino Wool?
Yes, there are definitely differences, and it does matter which type of merino wool you choose for textiles.
Byhappyme uses some of the highest quality merino wool for our wool products.
When discussing wool and quality, the “fineness” of the wool quickly becomes a topic. The unit of measurement used for wool is called MICRON.
MICRON is an abbreviation for Micron, a unit used to describe the diameter of wool fibers. One micron is one thousandth of a millimeter (0.001 mm). When talking about wool, the micron measurement is used to assess the fineness of the fibers. For Merino wool, a lower micron measurement indicates a finer and softer quality.
Standard merino wool typically ranges from 20-23 microns, while fine merino wool falls between 18-20 microns. Byhappyme uses wool with a micron count of 19, placing it at the top end of the quality scale.
Why Does Some Wool Itch While Other Wool Doesn’t?
The finer the wool, the fewer coarse fibers it has, and therefore, it is less likely to itch. Most wool on the market today is treated to minimize itching, so the idea that wool itches is becoming a myth. However, individual sensitivity can vary.
If you find that wool itches, we recommend wearing the item for 10-15 minutes until it reaches body temperature. Once the wool is warmed to body temperature, many people find that the itching sensation disappears. Fortunately, we receive a lot of positive feedback from our customers about our Byhappyme quality. Many even express that the quality is surprisingly soft and comfortable to wear.
Is Your Merino Wool Certified?
At Byhappyme, we are proud to offer merino wool with three internationally recognized certifications. This is quite unique in itself.
It is also important for us to demonstrate responsibility towards our customers and their well-being. Environmental considerations are, of course, also important, and with these certifications, we can show a genuine interest in minimizing our environmental impact.
All of Byhappyme's wool products are covered by these three certifications:
OEKO-TEX®: Ensures that textile products are free from harmful substances and tested for health-damaging chemicals.
GOTS: Global Organic Textile Standard guarantees organic status and socially responsible production from raw materials to finished products.
Woolmark: Indicates authenticity and quality of wool products that meet the standards for pure new wool, ensuring fiber content, durability, and comfort.
Our certifications are carefully selected and cover various criteria. If you would like to learn more, you can click through to read more about each certification.
Do Your Merino Wool Products Shrink?
Most natural materials shrink during washing, and merino wool is no exception. To be on the safe side, we state a maximum shrinkage of 8% in our care instructions, but our actual tests show a shrinkage of 2-3% when the item is treated correctly according to the recommendations. This is on the lower side, and we are naturally proud of it.
