Lovely thick balaclava with perfect fit in 100% organic merino wool from Byhappyme

Give your child the ultimate warmth and comfort with our thick balaclava from Byhappyme. The balaclava is made from 100% organic merino wool, which is soft, warm and comfortable to wear close to the skin. The 2-layer balaclava is specially designed for babies and children who want to be warm and cozy when the weather is cold. It has a perfect fit that hugs the head comfortably without covering the face.

A thicker balaclava for cooler days

Our balaclava is made in a thicker quality (2-layer fabric), making it ideal for chilly days and children who need extra warmth. Thanks to the unique properties of the material, the balaclava ensures that your child is always comfortable. Wool is naturally temperature-regulating, so it provides optimal protection against the cold without getting too warm.

Can wool alleviate colds and illness?

Studies suggest that wool can help keep children a little healthier than usual. Wool's ability to absorb moisture and regulate temperature means that children don't get too hot or too cold. After intense play, wool keeps children warmer for longer without sudden chills, which can reduce the risk of colds and illness. This may explain why children who wear wool are often less sick.

Merino wool is temperature regulating and self-cleaning

Wool is naturally temperature regulating and therefore provides optimal warmth without becoming uncomfortably hot. Its self-cleaning ability means that air can be used to refresh the material, reducing the need for frequent washing - perfect for busy parents.

Another benefit of merino wool is its durability. When you take good care of the wool, it stays soft and functional for a long time. This involves simple maintenance such as regular airing rather than frequent washing, and when washing is necessary, it should be gentle on a wool program with mild wool detergent.

Safety and confidence - the balaclava has 3 important certifications

With our thick quality balaclava, you can have full confidence in its quality and safety. The product is certified with three recognized labels: OEKO-TEX, GOTS and Woolmark. The OEKO-TEX certification guarantees that the hat is free from harmful chemicals and can therefore be worn close to the skin with confidence. GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certification ensures that the wool used is organic and produced under responsible conditions. Woolmark certification recognizes the high quality of the pure new wool we use in our products.

Airing - a good alternative to washing

To preserve the life and appearance of the wool body, airing is an excellent alternative to frequent washing. Merino wool fibres have natural antibacterial properties that prevent odours and bacteria from penetrating the fabric. This means that the bodysuit with American closure can be used several times between washes, which saves you time and reduces wear and tear, extending the life of the garment. A thorough airing is often enough and helps refresh the wool, keeping it looking and smelling great for longer. This is not only more convenient, but also more sustainable as it reduces water and energy consumption when washing. Even after many months of use, the bodysuit will look almost new if cared for properly.

Avoid soaking

Wool is a natural material known for its thermal insulation and softness, but requires gentle care. Soaking can damage the fibres of wool by weakening or shrinking them. Therefore, wash wool gently on 800 revolutions in the washing machine with mild wool detergent and avoid prolonged soaking.
