Soft, thin and perfectly fitting balaclava in 100% merino wool from Byhappyme

At Byhappyme, we know how important it is for a balaclava to be designed correctly for its purpose. There's nothing worse than a balaclava that covers half your face when in use. We've gone to great lengths with this balaclava to make sure it fits perfectly in use while keeping your child warm and comfortable all day long. The elephant hat encloses the head without covering the entire face when the child moves.

The quality is thin and comfortable

Our balaclava is made in a thin quality, making it ideal for hot days and children who often get hot. Thanks to the unique properties of wool, your child will always be comfortably tempered. Many of our customers order several hats at a time, so there's always one on hand at home and at school.

Is it true that children who wear wool are less sick?

Studies show that wool's ability to absorb moisture may be a contributing factor, along with its ability to regulate temperature. Never too hot and never too cold - just right. Your child won't cool down as easily after a hectic activity when they're wearing wool. Evidence suggests that this is why wool babies are less likely to get sick.

Merino wool is temperature regulating and self-cleaning

Wool is naturally temperature regulating and therefore provides optimal warmth without becoming uncomfortably hot. The self-cleaning ability means that air can be used to refresh the material, reducing the need for frequent washing - perfect for busy parents.

Another benefit of merino wool is its durability. When you take good care of the wool, it stays soft and functional for a long time. This involves simple maintenance such as regular airing rather than frequent washing, and when washing is necessary, it should be gentle on a wool program with mild wool detergent.

Safety is security - Byhappyme's wool has 3 certifications

You can have full confidence in the quality and safety of our balaclava. It is certified with three recognized labels: OEKO-TEX, GOTS and Woolmark. The OEKO-TEX certification guarantees that the product is free from harmful chemicals and is completely safe for your child's skin. GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certification ensures that the wool is organic and produced under responsible conditions. The Woolmark certification recognizes the high quality of pure new wool that we use in our products.

Airing - a good alternative to washing

To preserve the life and appearance of the wool body, airing is an excellent alternative to frequent washing. Merino wool fibres have natural antibacterial properties that prevent odours and bacteria from penetrating the fabric. This means that the bodysuit with American closure can be used several times between washes, which saves you time and reduces wear and tear, extending the life of the garment. A thorough airing is often enough and helps refresh the wool, keeping it looking and smelling great for longer. This is not only more convenient, but also more sustainable as it reduces water and energy consumption when washing. Even after many months of use, the bodysuit will look almost new if cared for properly.

Avoid soaking

Wool is a natural material known for its thermal insulation and softness, but requires gentle care. Soaking can damage the fibres of wool by weakening or shrinking them. Therefore, wash wool gently on 800 revolutions in the washing machine with mild wool detergent and avoid prolonged soaking.
